LMKT Incubation

On 30th March, LMKT-operated National Incubation Centre Peshawar graduated its fifth and sixth cohort of startups.

The third graduation ceremony was graced by Taimur Khan Jhagra, Minister for Finance & Health, KP, CEO LMKT Atif Rais Khan along with other prominent members of the business and political spheres. Speaking at the occasion, the chief guest commended the startups and took pride in the entrepreneurial shift taking place in KP.

The graduating startups worked on creating disruptive solutions during the incubation period that spanned over two years. Applauding the effort and dedication of the innovators, CEO LMKT added:

“Looking at the tremendous potential of KP, and the progress of NIC Peshawar as an incubation center, I am hopeful the first unicorn will be from this region.”

The event celebrated the rapidly growing startup ecosystem of KP which included businesses from education, health, lifestyle, transport, e-commerce and delivery solutions, and the achievements of our star startups.

Speaking at the occasion, Asim Ishaq Khan, Director NIC Peshawar thanked the guests for their support and encouragement for the graduating startups and complimented the resilience of startups to bring change in the economy through their innovative business ideas.

In the two-year incubation phase, NIC Peshawar startups generated more than 1989 direct and 1790 indirect employment opportunities. Furthermore, the startups raised more than PKR 608 million in investments and got international recognition.

Launched in 2018, NIC Peshawar is Khyber Pukhtunkhwa’s first incubation center in Peshawar and has been working on thriving the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The center provides various incubation and acceleration programs, mentorship and access to investment opportunities.
