LMKT’s Startup Showdown took place at ITCN Asia Islamabad edition on 25th February 2023. The competition featured 17 startups incubated by the National Incubation Centers (NICs) from various cities in Pakistan, including Hyderabad, Peshawar, Karachi, Islamabad, and NICAT. The event aimed to provide a platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative ideas and compete for a cash prize of 100,000 PKR.

The event was a resounding success, with each startup bringing unique and innovative ideas to the table. The pitches were impressive, and it was clear that the participants had put in a lot of effort and hard work.

And the winner is…

The judges, Samina Rizwan, Rohma Labeeb, Aalishan Akhtar, and Nabeel Najam, had a tough job in selecting the winner. However, after careful deliberation, Fresh Factor, a startup incubated by NIC Islamabad, emerged as the winner of the competition. The winning position was tied with Indaraj, a NIC Hyderabad incubated startup, but the judges made a unified decision to select the winner.

The event’s host was NIC Peshawar’s Bilal Farooq and featured opening remarks by Project Director NIC Peshawar, Asim Ishaq Khan, and closing remarks by CEO Ignite, Asim Shahryar Husain. CEO LMKT, Atif Rais Khan, also joined the event and shared his thoughts on the importance of events like these in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
