LMKT is proud to announce that the National Incubation Center Peshawar has selected its first cohort of startups after a series of rigorous shortlisting rounds. After a very successful launch event that was held at the historic Islamia College in Peshawar and graced by the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, this is an important first milestone for Peshawar’s premier incubation facility.
The maiden cohort comprises many dynamic startups from KP, which will be enrolled in various tracks including Hatchery, Plus and Incubation programs. Each program offers specific guidance and tools to help startups overcome specific challenges associated with the different stages in business evolution. The globally renowned Founder Institute curriculum that will be taught at NIC Peshawar will help entrepreneurs with ideation, scaling and funding among other aspects.
While congratulating the first cohort of startups, President LMKT Shabana Khan said, “We are extremely pleased to be welcoming such a talented and dynamic group of individuals.” She continued, “I’m very confident that you all will set new precedents of innovation not only for Pakistan but the entire globe.”
Local business leaders and an expert roster of mentors will be taking startups under their wings to help them navigate in an increasingly competitive marketplace. NIC Peshawar is constantly developing new partnerships with academia, private sector and the country’s top practitioners to set our startups up for success.
