LMKT participated in the 2019 Momentum Tech Conference that was held in Karachi on April 30 and May 1. The conference, which brought together hundreds of startups, investors, technologists as well as local and global organizations, included workshops, a fintech hackathon, key note sessions and panel discussions on tech, digital and entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pakistan.
The conference, which was attended by global giants like Google and Amazon, showcased top 100 startups from Pakistan. As a result, over 20 startups from LMKT-operated National Incubation Center Karachi, National Incubation Center Peshawar and LMKT SPARK Lahore were also selected to be a part of the event.
The expertise of GameStruck, a partner of Microsoft -supported innovation platform LMKT SPARK, were on display at the LMKT booth. The startup, which specializes in game development with 2D/3D augmented and virtual reality skills attracted celebrity fan following at the event. Fakhr-e-Alam and other personalities from Pakistan’s showbiz industry whiled away the time playing an interactive game designed by the startup.
EzdealzPakistan, incubated at LMKT SPARK, and Darewro, incubated at NIC Peshawar, were showcased by Microsoft in their keynote “Build & Scale: Reimagining the Startup Ecosystem with Microsoft” at the event.
Other notable startups that participated in the event were Aqua Agro, an NIC Karachi startup that looks to save 50% of irrigation water through AI, baseH, an NIC Karachi Startup that has created an AI news writer, and NIC Peshawar’s Aprus Technologies, an indigenous manufacturer of low-cost electrosurgical units.
