Distinguished guests Mrs. Anusha Rahman, State Minister of IT & Telecom; HE Dr Talal Abu Ghazaleh, Chairman Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organization (TAG Org); and other notables from the Ministry of IT & Telecom (MoITT) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) visited the LMK corporate office in Islamabad. Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organization is a Jordanian based international holdings company and is a leading provider of professional services, operating out of 85 offices worldwide in the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, India, Cyprus and China. Mr. Atif Rais Khan, CEO LMKT along with LMK executives were present to welcome the guests.
On the occasion, Mr. Haroon Sharif, Vice President LMKT briefed the audience about various initiatives being undertaken by LMKR and LMKT; and E-Governance, being a key initiative, was discussed in detail. He relayed that the e-Office platform is actively being used by the Ministry of IT and is in the process of being implemented across the remaining federal ministries and attached departments, in collaboration with the Ministry of IT (MoIT) and the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
The E-Office solution offers a smooth transition to a paperless environment by automating standard business processes, especially for the government and semi-government sectors. It ensures effective governance through transparency and accountability in delivering public service to the citizens of Pakistan. Additionally, it is in compliance with government rules and Secretariat Instructions related to file movement.
Other initiatives undertaken by LMKT that were highlighted included the introduction of Digital Agriculture in Pakistan in collaboration with Government of Punjab, Department of Agriculture. At the conclusion of the event, senior officials from the Ministry of IT & Telecom and state guest expressed profound appreciation for the efforts undertaken by LMKT & NITB for the proliferation of e-Governance in Pakistan.
