LMKT is pleased to announce its partnership with Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) for setting up a centrally controlled cloud video surveillance system that allows real time traffic management. As part of a six-year contract, LMKT will set up and operate Virtual Switching System (VSS) and Electronic Toll & Traffic Management (ETTM) systems across 14 feeder routes to ensure the safety and security of commuters throughout Lahore.
PMA operates the Lahore Metrobus System (LMBS), a state of the art mass transit system in Lahore. PMA faced the challenge of increasing the coverage area of LMBS while ensuring security of commuters and efficiency. As a solution, LMKT is providing a centrally controlled protection scheme for traffic restoration and coordination, an expert video surveillance system designed for the operation management of the public transport system in Lahore. Cameras installed along the road at intersections and critical points will provide real time video coverage for better operational management of buses. The overall system is designed to be controlled and monitored from the Lahore Metrobus Command and Control Center and will help reduce costs, increase operation efficiency, and enable the implementation of the Service Level Agreement. Furthermore, LMKT will provide and extend all necessary access, support and cooperation for the accomplishment of this project.
LMKT aspires to redefine surveillance through state of the art security and protection systems through an imitable, centrally controlled protection system using advanced surveillance cameras. This has encouraged the deployment of cameras in more locations, areas, and facilities across Punjab. The latest cameras for centrally controlled surveillance systems setup by LMKT have elevated the levels of security monitoring, management, and enforcement as well as helped prevent unlawful of activities.
