Managing time and attendance and seamless access for its visitors and employees has been a constant challenge for Pakiatan’s leading telecommunications company. Ufone’s management was looking for a solution that provides real-time visibility into personnel movement, automated alerts, and activation of pre-defined protocols in the event of an emergency.

After evaluation of multiple solutions, Ufone selected LMKT’s integrated security solution, V-Secur® (www.v-secur.com), and its integrated time and attendance, and access control solution. LMKT’s team worked closely with Ufone to deploy an optimal solution that effectively meets the security and personnel management requirements of the mobile operator.

LMKT’s access control system offers remote monitoring and physical access management capabilities for designated areas within specified facilities. The V-Secur deployment at Ufone employs a sophisticated integration of hardware and software to accurately monitor personnel at the premises while barring access to any unauthorized visitors. RFID readers are installed at all major access points that can be managed centrally by the security and admin staff for granting and revoking individual access. The CCTVs offer real-time surveillance and automatic detection of any unauthorized personnel or access violations. Upon detection of unusual activity, the system generates an automated alert for the appropriate response.

The deployment of V-Secur at Ufone has resulted in visibly increased security; reduction in monitoring and surveillance costs; and improved operational efficiencies.

Security staff are able to centrally invoke and schedule customized protocols for different scenarios on the basis of group segments and time zones. This results in impenetrable security and restricted access to Ufone’s sensitive equipment and stock such as the server room and data center.

The time and attendance module of V-Secur has afforded Ufone’s administration with an intelligent data analytics tool that provides important insights and real-time monitoring capabilities for its workforce across Pakistan.

The successful implementation of the time and attendance, and access control modules have resulted in the deployment of an additional five modules of V-Secur including map view, vehicle access control, cafeteria management, parking management and visitor management system.
